That’s right; the solution to it all is to think vertical! Simple, uncomplicated and absolutely stunning, a DIY Squash Arch might be just the ‘X Factor’ that your little vegetable garden needs. And this efficient and beautiful DIY is easy to accomplish as well. All you need is the PVC pipes, metal mesh and a color of your choice. Craft an arch out of the PVC pipes in a size of your choice and use the metal mesh to fill out the arch.
From here things get much easier as all you need to do is simply set up the arch and you can use some paint to give color to it all. We love how black was chosen as it does give the impression of a solid steel arch. Now let the squash take over and fill it out over time. The sturdy frame will offer ample support and we can already imagine how awesome this arch would appear when fully decorated on Halloween weekend!
Arches are a delightful way of bring beauty to the simple vegetable garden and this DIY Squash Arch is a good and inexpensive way to start. You can head over to Get Busy Gardening! for more tips and additional details on how to get it done… Good Luck!
