Wonderful DIY Amazing Apple pie of roses

A delicious apple dessert is perfect for a special dessert or morning tea. Apple pies are one of these timeless classics but if you want to decorate them in the most romantic and creative way, then try one of these easy apple desserts. Apple roses can be used to decorate cakes, pies or to be served as mini apple tarts. They are sure to impress your guests!


For the dough:
125 g soft butter
70 g Powdered sugar
1 pkg vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
1 egg
100 g finely ground almonds
150g flour

For the cream:
400ml milk
100ml white wine
3 egg yolks
1 pkg vanilla sugar
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
6 tablespoons sugar
4 tablespoons flour
5-6 apples


1. Beat soft butter with powdered sugar, vanilla sugar and orange peel. Add egg and ground almonds. Add flour gradually to make a soft dough.
2.Dust a 22/24 cm greased baking pan with flour. Spread the dough evenly in it. Place in refrigerator while preparing the cream.
3. For the cream, in a sauce pan mix the flour with vanilla sugar and orange peel. Add yolks and a little milk. Stir until smooth. Pour in the remaining milk and wine. Bring the cream slowly to a boil, stirring constantly until thickened, then let it cool.
4. Optionally you also can use instant vanilla cream or pudding.
5. With a vegetables peeler cut the apples in long strips without removing the crust.
6. Wrap the strips into apple roses.
7. Pour the cream on top of the dough and arrange the apple florets close to each other.
8. Glaze the roses by slightly brushing them with the warmed apricot jam. Bake cake in preheated oven at 180 Celsius until the dough is baked and apples become golden.VIEW IN GALLERYrose apple pie
