Homemade Silly Putty! That’s right, you can make that gooey, stretchy, elastic, and moldable stuff right at home instead of going to the nearest store for a pack. Apart from bragging rights, this also allows you to choose the color for the silly putty that your little one loves and you can even dazzle your kid with one that combines the hues of a rainbow.
Crafting your own silly putty is not that hard, takes little time and recipe does not need anything you wouldn’t find at your nearest supplies store. So, let’s get started, shall we?
What You Need:
- Bottle of Elmers Glue (118ml)
- 118 ml of Water
- 1/2 teaspoon of Borax
- 1/4 cup hot water
- Food coloring of your Choice
Mix them together as shown in the tutorial on Paging Fun Mums (link below the image) and you can create as many batches of homemade colorful silly putty as you like. You will soon see your kids spending endless hours trying to shape and reshape it and the little blob also bounces a tad bit! Since this DIY delight contains borax, make sure your kiddo is past the stage where everything goes for an immediate taste test.
