Going to attempt this type of cake for my daughter’s 1st birthday but I intend to make the cake into a huge 1 and then make a smaller smash cake. I am not doing the middle like that but instead a filling of some sort like chocolate creme. 🙂

Do you have to use pound cake, or can you use any cake batter with the same results? Thank You!

I did get the same results, I just had to use a smaller cookie cutter b/c my pan wasn’t as deep as yours. Thank you for sharing!

Please check steps 16-18, maybe your batter on top of the numbers is not enough ?
